You will find a plethora of information at the Department of Assessment. Presently there are 7,922 parcels in the City of Keene representing approximately 1,857,058,431 in total taxable assessment. Property and ownership information along with assessment data is available over the counter or can be accessed at the computer terminal located in the lobby. Historical data like building size, age, acreage, numbers of rooms and assessments, along with a sketch of the structure(s), can be located on a property record card. Reference files hold other valuable information like lot line adjustments, past ownership, deeds, subdivisions, etc. Tax maps are also available in the Department. With advanced technology on the horizon, we hope to someday offer tax maps and property record cards through the Internet
