State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program
The NH Office of Energy and Planning is pleased to announce the beginning of the State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program. Residents of New Hampshire who are replacing a furnace, boiler or hot water heater are eligible for rebates ranging from $100 to $1,000. These rebates will be made available through NHsaves.com. Additionally OEP has partnered with the NH Public Utilities Commission to offer rebates for residents who install solar thermal hot water heaters. State and Federal rebates through this program can reach upwards of $1,650, and when coupled with the 30% federal tax credit on renewable energy systems, residents can receive upwards of 50% off the cost of the system. For more information on these programs and to download the application, please visit OEP's website at http://www.nh.gov/oep/recovery/seearp.htm.
City Investment Grade Energy Audit Report
This document has been prepared for the City of Keene (“City”) in response to our Investment Grade Energy Audit Contract dated February 17, 2009, to develop an Investment Grade Audit (“IGA”) report for the Facilities as described in Attachment A to that Agreement. This Investment Grade Audit document is the culmination of a comprehensive energy audit performed by Honeywell. The purpose of this study is to identify energy and water efficiency improvements, costs, and resulting energy and water savings for each improvement in the listed facilities. The completion of the IGA process will quantify the size, scope, energy and water savings, simple payback (return on investment), and cost for each Energy Conservation Measure (“ECM”). The City’s intent is to use this information to develop an Energy Savings Performance Contract (“ESPC”) to implement the selected findings in the facilities. The energy and water efficiency improvements (“the Measures”) identified have been developed with the underlying designn intent, that existing building space conditions and occupant comfort will be maintained at a minimum, and in many cases improved.
