Public Pools

The pools are closed for the season. We are looking forward to the start of 2015 season!

Keene’s 2 municipal pools, located in Robin Hood Park and Wheelock Park, open for the summer months! Our typical hours are 12:00 PM to 5:45 PM on weekends, 3:00 PM to 6:45 PM weekdays until school is closed.  Once school closes, the pools will open at 1:00 PM weekdays.  The daily admission is $2 for children 6 thru 17 and $4 for ages 18 and older.  Season passes may be purchased at the Keene Recreation Center.  Cost for Keene residents is $35/single child’s pass, $45/single adult pass and $75/family pass. Non-Residents fees are $45/single child’s pass, $60/single adult pass and $105/family pass.  Residents who show a valid Medicaid or Healthy Kids insurance card will receive a season pool pass for $10.00, regardless of age.

Swimming Lessons: Swimming lessons are taught at both pools by Red Cross trained Water Safety Instructors on weekday mornings Monday-Thursday.  No lessons on Friday.  Cost for Keene Resident is $30/per person and $45/per person for non-residents.  Ages 5 (entering kindergarten) and older.

Splash and Laugh Time: This is a time for water adjustment, for infants and children up to age 4 to get accustomed to the water. Parents or responsible adults must enter the water with the child.  Lifeguards will be on duty.  Sessions will be held at Wheelock and Robin Hood Pools, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM.  Cost for the 4 week series is Keene residents $20, non-residents $30.  

Summer Beach Party at Wheelock Pool: Enjoy the pool and dance the night away with popular music. There will be pizza and soda for sale. Cost to get in is $3; party will run 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
