National Night Out 2010
National Night Out is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (National Association of Town Watch) and it is celebrated the first Tuesday of August each year.
The National Night Out campaign involves citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. In all, over 36 million people participated in National Night Out 2009.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
2010 marks the 27th anniversary of National Night Out but it is only the second time such an event has been held in Keene. The 2010 event included police station tours, displays of the Crime Scene van, the Tactical Team van and equipment, a fire engine and command vehicle, a public works truck; a bouncy house, and fingerprinting for the kids. Various department demonstrations were made throughout the event. Hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and beverages were provided free of charge to the public.
