Online Books and Online Audiobooks
The library subscribes to a number of different online book services that are free for you to use:
BookNews - See award winning books, bestsellers, and newsletters for kids and adults. View these online or sign up to receive them in your email. |
Dear Reader Online Book Clubs - Each day you are emailed a 5-minute portion of a book. During the week, you can read 2-3 chapters and then decide if you want to check the book out of the library. Every Monday starts a new book. Sign up and start reading! |
TumbleBooks - is an online collection for children, of animated, talking picture books, including books to learn French, Spanish, and other languages, plus puzzles and games. You can access the collection from your home or from a library computer. The program is easy to use, but we have created a page of directions that can guide you through the process. |
Tumble Talking Books - is "an online collection of full length audio books which you can listen to from any computer with an internet connection. Browse through categories & pick the book you want to listen to". Includes children's books as well as adult. |
New Hampshire Downloadable Audio Books - Browse hundreds of bestselling titles, download them to your computer, transfer them to a portable device, or burn select titles onto a CD for your enjoyment anywhere, anytime. Available 24/7. |
The Library has also scanned two histories of Keene and they are available online:
- A History of the Town of Keene from 1732, when the Township was Granted
by Massachusetts, to 1874, when it Became a City by S. G. Griffin, M. A. (1904)
- "Upper Ashuelot"; a history of Keene New Hampshire by the Keene History Committee (1968)
