Looking for something to do during the week? Come to KPRD Teen Center! Check out the game room that has four flat screen TVs, Wii System, Kinect System, Pool Tables and Ping Pong. High School Students only! Join us on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Nights from 7-9PM.  Pick up your Recreation Center ID or pay the daily fee to come play!

PAL Middle School Basketball League
A Co-ed middle school basketball program will be offered this winter. This program is designed to teach all children the fundamentals of basketball. This program does not stress competition but rather, recreation and good sportsmanship. This program will be offered in collaboration with the Keene Police Department, who will be involved in the coaching and supervision of this league.
Age and Division: This program is for grades 6-8. Teams will be broken up by KPRD. Schedules will be available at the first practice and online. Coaches will notify players of time of their first practice.
Location: 312 Washington street at the Recreation Center
Fee: Resident is $45.00 and nonresidents will be $60.00. The cost of this program includes a basketball jersey for each participant.  
Deadline is December 3rd.




This league is designed for adults to have fun while increasing physical activity. Rosters can be downloaded at www.keeneparks.com. Games will take place Sundays, for 9 weeks including playoffs.

Fee: Team fee of $125.00

Deadline: Team registrations will be accepted until December 3rd at 5:00 PM. A league meeting will then be held to distribute rules to all team captains.


KPRD is accepting rosters for 2016 season. Rosters can be downloaded at www.keeneparks.com. Teams must have a minimum of 8 players. Games will take place at Keene High School through March.

Fee: Team binder fee of $750.00

Deadline: A league meeting will be held November 11th at 6:00 PM to turn in rosters and fees.


The Recreation Center offers a safe walking environment Monday- Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Come meet new friends and increase your physical activity at the same time!

Fee: An annual Rec Center ID may be purchased for $10 at the office. Members of the Keene Senior Center will receive an ID free of charge!

Craft fairs are run by the sponsoring organizations, not the Recreation Department. If you are interested in being a vendor at a craft fair, please contact the sponsoring organization directly.

Recreation Center Indoor Walking

Walking is available at the recreation center during the summer from 7:00AM-10:30 AM Monday thru Friday in either the gym or multi -purpose room.  An annual ID card is required at a cost of $10 and may be purchased at the main office.  Current Senior Center members are eligible for a free walking pass.

Schedule changes will be posted in advance when possible. If you enjoy walking outdoors, take advantage of the walking path around the triangle of Fuller Park, in front of the Recreation Center. Seven times around equals a mile! You are also welcome to explore the trails around Goose Pond, Robin Hood Park, and the local bike paths. The Recreation Center has brochures for the nominal fee of 50 cents that give the locations of Keene’s Parks. There are also more detailed maps of the Goose Pond/Drummer Hill area for sale.

Plan your Party Now!

 KPRD has the responsibility of scheduling use of Central Square, Railroad Square and the Robin Hood Park amphitheater. Request forms are available to reserve spaces in these parks, some reservations require a nominal fee. The Recreation Center also has rooms that may be rented for parties, classes and events. Stop by 312 Washington Street, call the office at 357-9829 or download the necessary reservation form at www.keeneparks.com and fax to us at 1-603-283-5661. Most reservation forms may be submitted online also.

Greater Keene Women's Softball League

The Adult Modified Softball League is for ages 15 and up. The league is divided into 4 divisions: I, II, III, and IV. Division I is mostly composed of women who have competed in high school and/or college softball. Division II is composed of women who have competed in high school and possibly limited college soft ball. Division III is for women who may have competed in high school soft ball. Division IV is geared toward women who have limited or no softball competitive experience. The season runs from the end of April through the middle-August. Greater Keene Men's Softball League

The Keene Men’s Softball League will be starting up its 2015 season on April 17th 2015. Come to our meeting for new players and new teams on January 20th at 6:00PM at the Keene Recreation Center. You can either sign yourself up if you are looking for a team, or get information to start your own team. Bring your friends; relive your childhood dreams of playing baseball. Six divisions to cover all levels of play. Benefit tournaments, wood bat tournament, large state tournaments also. Great family times out at Wheelock park, come be a part of it. Looking for extra money? We will be needing umpires for the 2015 season as well.
