Teen & Adult Activities

Looking for something to do during the week? Come to KPRD Teen Center! Check out the game room that has four flat screen TVs, Wii System, Kinect System, Pool Tables and Ping Pong. High School Students only! Join us on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Nights from 7-9PM.  Pick up your Recreation Center ID or pay the daily fee to come play!

Adult Activities

The Recreation Center offers a safe indoorwalking environment Monday-Friday Come meet new friends and increase your physical activity at the same time!
Fee: An annual Rec Center ID may be purchased for $10 at the office. Members of the Keene Senior Center will receive an ID free of charge!

Women’s Senior Shape Up with Griselda is offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday year round at the Recreation Center from 9:00AM-10:00AM. Griselda combines stretching and aerobics in a fun atmosphere for participants of all levels of physical fitness.
Fee: $2.00 per class.

Pickleball is a raquet sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. The Recreation Center is now offering pick up Pickleball on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the Gym. Come meet new friends, try a new sport and increase your physical activity at the same time!
Fee: Daily fee of $2 or an annual Rec Center ID may be purchased for $30 at the main office! 

STARTING January 3rd
Zumba Gold is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30-11:30 AM in the Gym. Zumba Gold is a bit slower paced, designed for beginners and the young at heart! The program follows the school year calendar and will not run during the summer months. This session will run from January 3rd through February 2nd.
Fee: $30 for 5 week session.

Qigong is a very gentle, but powerful Eastern form of exercise thousands of years old. The slow and simple movements encourage the smooth flow of Qi (energy) and when practiced regularly, promotes longevity, decreases pain, and alleviates stress while increasing balance, strength, and flexability. Most importantly, it teaches awareness of yourself and the world around you.This class is designed for individuals of all levels of physicall fitness and capabilities.
Fee: $3.00 per class.
Classes meet Tuesdays from 11:30 AM- 12:30PM in Room 14 at the Recreation Center.


Greater Keene Women’s Softball League
The Adult Modified Softball League is for ages 15 and up. The league is divided into 4 divisions: I, II, III, and IV. Division I is mostly composed of women who have competed in high school and/or college softball. Division II is composed of women who have competed in high school and possibly limited college softball. Division III is for women who may have competed in high school softball. Division IV is geared toward women who have limited or no softball competitive experience. The season runs from the end of April through the middle-August. Greater Keene Men’s Softball League
The Keene Men’s Softball League will be starting up its 2017 season on April 21ST 2017. Come to our meeting for new players and new teams on January 19th at 6:00 at the Keene Recreation Center. You can either sign yourself up if you are looking for a team, or get information to start your own team. Bring your friends; relive your childhood dreams of playing baseball. Six divisions to cover all levels of play. Benefit tournaments, wood bat tournament, large state tournaments also. Great family times out at Wheelock park, come be a part of it.

Looking for extra money? We will be needing umpires for the 2017 season as well.
